Default engine change

Probably a stupid question.
i installed a used engine in a 90 accord .

Original engine was a F22A1 and the replacement is a F22A6.
Intake and exhaust are the same that came off the other engine.
Car ran fine since sunday and just quit from idle tonight.
went from steady idle to 0
no missfire or nothing.
Someone mentionned that the ECM might see a stolen engine and quit
Engine electrical is all from the A! including the dist, throttle body and injectors.
Any idea if this stolen engine shut down holds any water and any idea where to start.
Got fule pressure and timing light has indication that we got spark.
Any help is welcome
Sarah

The stolen engine ecu thing is bs. The ECU can't tell what engine is in your car.

You should check the ECU for error codes. On the 90 accord, the ECU is under the driver's seat. Just turn the key to the II position (don't try to start the car) and look at the LED on the ECU. Count the blinks to get the code. A long blink=10, short=1.

Default ok

i figured it was a BS thing.
i will check the codes in the morning. I know from using other forums that there is always the answer out there already.
But tonight i am frustrated and need to cut to the chase and get the car rinning asap
I will pull codes in the morning.
But to your knowledge there is no problem using A! intake and exhaust on an A6 engine ?

Just a thought but since the a6 has a diff. cam and your running a1 manifolds and ecu..it might not run it right since the cam is more aggressive and your restricting the air flow with the a1 manifolds???

also the a6 ecu is tuned diff. then he a1

You said it has spark, right?
You said it has fuel pressure, right?

I guess that makes me suspect the injectors aren't firing??
Pull a sparkplug after trying to start - does it smell like gasoline?
All 4 injectors have one wire the same color. Does it have battery voltage with key on?

I verifief i have 12 VDC at the resistor block and the resistance through them is 6.1 ohm.
I did verify that the injectors are getting grounding signal from the ECU with the proper test light,
After i read the codes this morning i will read the actual voltage going to the injectors.
I have the complete intake from the A6 engine still in the garage and If the intake is the cause il simply swap them this week end.

one thing that i just thought of, the exhaust runner on the cast iron manifild is cracked and leakingjust above where it meets the rest of the casting.
Just a crack and has slight sighn of leaking. Is it possible the O2 sencoe might see this as running to lean ?
the codes will tell me shortly

OK, pulled the codes this morning, none.
Turned the key on to listen to the fuel pump relay, came on and then stoped as it always does.
check fuel banjo nut at the fuel rail, very little fuel pressure and pump did not restart to repressurise with nut and line removed.
I am suspecting either a cloged fuel filter or a bad pump.
Am i thinking in the right dirrection.
Thanks for any help so far

I think that you are heading in the right direction.

not sure what you meant by

and pump did not restart to repressurise with nut and line removed
The pump will only pressurize the system when you turn the key to the II position. To get the pump to run again, turn the key off, then turn back to the II position.
