RE: engine clatter and more.

UPDATE: I took my car to the honda dealership today to get the oil changed and to see if they could find out where the noise was coming from. They say it's a hole in my exhaust(center pipe) and they quoted me $800, to which i replied, "Is it made of gold?!" Anyways, i know i canget the part cheaper somewhere else...but here's another question. I'm looking at getting the whole exhaust system redone but i'm not sure if i want a performance one or not. I'm REALLY not a huge fan of those ricer exhausts. Can you guys recommend anything? A nice low sounding one would be nice..but also not too loud. I was thinking maybe some OBX headers..but after that i'm not too sure.

Hey!
I sent you an e-mail back, but ntoiced you were mentioning a cold air intake. Im sure you know the difference, but if not the cold air intake has a chance of suckign up water and hydrolocking your engine unless you get the bypass valve which I think only AEM offers. With a short ram its basically impossible to do that.
Your cars temp. runs the same as mine does and mine us usally pretty loud when its cold and gets a little bit quieter afterwards. If its $800 to replace the pipe, you could easily get my whole I/H/E set-up for that. Good luck.

Sounds like that non-ricer exhaust system you might want to check into is the Apexi WS2. Look around for some video online to see exactly what it sounds like but, it tends to be pretty quite and very low. (I use one.)
