Go with the F22. F22's are far superior for boost. Heres why:

H22
-----
High compression ratio (how it gets its power) -- bad for boosting. increases predetonation. would have to run racing gas if turbo'd with a un-modified compression ratio. if you lowered the compression ratio, it would be nearly identical to the F22
high-tech cylinder walls (i forget the actual name) -- lighter, and more resistant to wear, but not as strong. You would have to resleeve an H22, but not an F22.
V-tec -- great for n/a. However at high RPM's vtec opens the exhaust valve and intake valve for longer periods of time. With a turbocharged engine, the backpressure from the exhaust can push back into the intake manifold if the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time for an extended period of time (such as at high-rpms with vtec). You would have to swap out the Vtec camshaft for a V-tec eliminating camshaft ($$) designed for turbocharged engines, which completely negates the cost of buying a Vtec head.

F22
----
inexpensive engine
already has a low compression ratio -- no need to change it
strong(er) cylinder walls, no need for re-sleeving or a block guard
No vtec, and as long as you had a free-flowing exhaust there would be no need for a new camshaft

Go with the F22.

Turbo = low compression (~9:1) pistons, NA = high compressions pistons (~11:1). Predetonation (knocking/pinging) will kill your turbo tune.

so in going with an f22 then could i still get close to 400+hp?

like that 634 hp accord in japan or wherever its at, its got the h22 in it. why i was gonna go with h22 in the first place but yeah now that makes sense high compression h22 good for na but lowering it would make it like the f22. what all would i have to do to push 400+hp in the accord with an f22?

for starters replace every part in the motor:
pistons
rods
bearings
cams
valves
valve springs
retainers

etc etc etc you get the idea.

then run 110 octane $10 a gallon gas.

ew. lol.

whats a reasonable amount of hp i can get with the f22?

like enough to keep up or beat the acura rsx type s, cars in that class.
300+ 350+?

something to where im not pushing 10$ per gallon gas lmao

a RSX isnt that fast, a h22 accord would keep up with one.

I dont think you realize how much 300-350hp is in a front wheel drive car. thats enough to spin at least through third and starting to become unpractical for a streetable car.

Rebuilt block
Rebuilt Head
Port and Polish all around
Turbo to 15 psi
Performace 3" exhaust
Intercooler of course
All the fuel managment tools and everything to go with your turbo
H22 Tranny or I;ve heard the F23 is good i think.. I've never driven it.
Stage 1 or 2 clutch
Udjastable Cam Pulley
Performance Cam

Not sure what that would get you but its a start

then paint some flames on the hood or somethign for an extra 10-15 HP
