finished rebuild on my 96 auto tranny but it wont shift into second

every gear works and works very well since the rebuild but it wont shift into 2nd unless you put it into 2nd. im thinkin shift solenoid but no codes are coming up. 96 accord f22b2 with the px4b tranny. Any ideas?

I would check to see if the solenoid clicks when power is applied.

solenoids are working but i think i have an electrical problem, idk if its in the wiring or tcm

I have little experience on the workings of a transmission.

The TCU sends power to the shift solenoid to open it. You could back-probe each wire at the shift solenoid connector. Then connect a test light to each wire, then ground the other end of each test light. You would have two lights connected. If you use enough wire, you can route the lights to the windshield. Then you can watch the lights turn on/off while driving to see if power is getting sent to the solenoid from the TCU?

I just don't know when the TCU sends power to switch gears, or the sequence the TCU uses to go from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4.

i have a manual for the transmission that tells the sequence of the solenoids for each gear change, im going to do some testing so i can figure it out
