Default Flashing "D"

For some reason - once in awhile - the "D" flashes on the dashboard. It does this in park or in drive. The only way to get it to stop is to turn off the car and then turn it back on again. Anyone have any idea why this happens?

It means the transmission is detecting a problem. I believe it stores the code in memory so if you scan for codes you should be able to see what's wrong.

Larry..........you need to do 2 things before we can properly help you

# 1 .. input the year and model of the car you need help on,,,,input it on your signaturte so we can all see it

# 2 Like MBO says you need to read the code and post it here ,, without it , it is a guessing game and we do not want to fix your car by taking guesses

the reason being, that car is still under warranty and if you mess around with anything it might void the warranty ........
dealer should do it free of charge
