Front seat swap question

Car in my signature. The passengers seat has almost no wear and tear and was seldom used before I got this car. The drivers seat back is wearing through on the left side from being brushed each time the driver gets in (almost unavoidable). Plus the seat has lost some cushion (not that it had much to begin with
)
I would like to swap the drivers seat and back cushions with the passengers. The only difference I can see in the 2 is that the drivers back has a tilt lever on the inside. I only want to switch the cushions not the frames. Anyone ever done something like this? Is there more to it than appears to the eye?

How about side airbags? Got em? If so, I'd probably avoid doing that kind of surgery to the seats. You don't want them going off in your face as you work.
If no airbags, then you might have to carve some holes in the foam to fit control levers & stuff like that to the opposite side.

Well, I took my 9-pound sledge hammer out and beat on the driver door and no air bag popped out, so I guess I don't have any side air bags
Seriously, I don't think this vehicle is equipped with side bags. From what I can see the only lever that comes through the leather is the one on the inside of the drivers back. Everything else looks swappable. And I'm more worried about the linkage to that lever than cutting some foam. I just wanted to check to see if anyone have fooled with these seats and had any advice. Thx.

I've never dismantled a Honda seat. I HAVE on a 2001 Saab, & the upholstery was substantially different side-to-side because that car did have side airbags. Stuff like the seams & hardware that fastened the cushions to the frames.
All the seat parts are available for replacement.
I think that all 02 accords ex model have side air bags.

A late post, but, I have personally disassembled the drivers seat to a 2005 Accord (see signature). I put a thin plywood board directly on the springs, added a couple of layers of memory foam, and added 2 layers of Ridgerest. I replaced the seat cover, and the seat is now FABULOUSLY re-upholstered. It was a labor of love. I love that vehicle !
