Default FSM or TSB showing OBD2 TDC & CKP?

I've looked at every factory service manual, and '96 and '97 FSM supplements, but can't find any with troubleshooting for 5th Gen OBD2 TDC and CYP problems. The '96 supplement I have still shows those sensors in the distributor (attached pics) while the '97 supplement doesn't include anything about those sensors. Searched for a couple of hours for a TSB but can't find a thing. Can anyone point me to a source?

What codes are you getting?

I don't see why the diagnostics should be any different. Check sensor resistance at harness/sensor connector. If OK, check again at ECM/Harness connector. If OK, ECM fault is likely.

We have seen a number of failures of ECM in 94-97. I have had two failures myself requiring ECM replacement to repair my 94 EX.

I found a listing of TSB's, but did not puruse them for your problem.

Down on the lower timing cover, #17 is the CKP/TDC sensors. The wiring plug is tied alongside the back of that cover, probably easier to reach it from underneath the car.

Thanks, Texas. I just like having the correct diagnostic pages. I think it's weird that the '96 and '97 supplements would leave out such a big change for those sensor's locations/connector pin-outs/resistance measurements/voltage measurements/etc. Of course I'm using downloaded manuals...maybe if I wasn't such a cheapskate and actually paid for manual(s) I'd find the info. I've pieced together info from other sites but would really like Honda's official pages.

Using the link you provided I quickly found:
1996 Honda Accord Electrical System Service Bulletin 145209

NHTSA: Action Number: 10003200 Service Bulletin Number: 145209
Report Date: Jun 16, 2003
Component: Electrical System
Summary: Diagnostic trouble code (dtc) p1361, tdc sensor and dtc p1381, cyp sensor.
I've found these TSB listing sites before but havn't been able to find the actual TSB. In this case, a web search for 145209 along with "Service Bulletin" or TSB yields nothing but more listings; no TSB PDF.

That's not actually a Honda TSB, it was part of a July 2003 Honda Service News applicable to 95-97 V6.

DTC P1361 and DTC P1381
Set: ’95–97 Accord V6

If both DTC P1361 (top dead center sensor intermittent interruption) and DTC P1381 (cylinder position sensor intermittent interruption) are set in a ’95–97 Accord V6, replace the crankshaft position sensor even though the tests in the 1995–97 Accord V6 Supplement S/M may be inconclusive. If either DTC sets individually, find out the cause by following the S/M troubleshooting (pulling and wiggling the wiring harnesses, checking the pin fit, and measuring the sensor resistance).

Redbull, where did you find the verbiage you provided for that Service News? That was just the first related link that mentioned anything about TDC/CPK from the list of pages Texas posted. But those pages don't say anything about engine type, etc.

Success in Spanish, for the F23:

Comprobar la resistencia del sensor:
  1. Quitar el contacto OFF.
  2. Desconectar el conector 4Pdel sensor CKP/TDC.
  3. Medir la resistencia entre los terminales del sensor indicado.
¿Hay 1.850 - 2.450 Ω?
  • SI → Comprobar si hay corto en el sensor
  • NO→Cambiar el sensor CKP/TDC

Works for me. The attached JPGs aren't great but the PDF they came from is searchable, clickable, and unlocked.
