Default Fuel Injector Filters?

I had to tear the head off of my 1995 Accord LX because my timing belt decided to snap and bend my valves. Regardless, I accidentally tipped one of my injectors and the filter magically disappeared. Now I am wondering will it be the end of the world to put the injector back into the rail without the filter, or should I just put new filters in? On top of that, where can I even get new filters? I can't seem to find any anywhere, mainly because it's such an obscure part, and buying new injectors is way out of the question.

By filter I assume you mean a screen on the fuel inlet to the injector. I don't remember any such part when I've removed my injectors, but may have missed. It doesn't show up as a separate part on parts diagram either. See following link.

Honda Automotive Parts

So I would suggest purchasing a used injector from ebay or used parts yard (check car-part.com to find source near you).

good luck
