Default Glovebox Light On

The light inside the glovebox on my 2006 Accord EX sedan is on whenever my lights are on. Is this normal? Thanks...Jack

only when the glovebox is open ..... see if it goes off when you push the button. Since it is a simple contact switch, if the light stays on, there is a short supplying it with power.

The light shouldn't be on, unless the glove box is open. Just push the button like Falkore said.

Mine was lit up all of the time, and I found that the bolts in the latch mechanism had loosened up. I just tightened them down and the light is on only when the box is open.

actually, the 06 accord isn't switch operated. it's designed to come on whenever the headlights are on. there is no problem, it is normal.

hmmm ..... seems like a bad design to me. Do the bulbs die often then?
