Hello everybody. I have a 1996 accord /w a JDM h22a swap. Recently after the car is warmed up, the rpms will jump and the engine will sputter and stall on occasion as well. It seems to happen when I hit bumps, but will stall at random times.

I was thinking maybe the distributor? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Quit going over bumps ! ! !
All jokes aside;
Start the engine and wiggle the key or thump on the steering column.
Underhood wiggle the wire harness around the dist. connections.
Might be a loose ground as well.

 

I had a 95 with similar issues. Check the Ignition Coil bro.

 

Does your check engine light come on? You should check for any code(s) stored on your ECU. Retrieving the code(s) will depend if you had an OBD1 or OBD2 ECU installed from the Prelude.
