After 7 years of no trouble, the language on the HFT system has changed the language to German. Can anyone please help to get it back to the default English. I have followed the instructions in the handbook but as the system is presently in German it doesn't recognise my speech in English. My car is a 07 plate Honda Accord. Thanks

 

I guess there is no better time to learn German.

All joking aside, you probably have a few options.

Use google translate to get the voice commands in German. Maybe find a local German teacher in your school district to help with the voice commands.

Or call a Honda dealership to see if their scanner can switch the default language to English.

 

I would suggest taking the car to a Honda dealership, they should will be able to reset the system electronically
