Hard to change gears

when I'm parking and go from N to P sometimes the shift stick (AU tran) gets stuck in the middle. Any suggestions?

Cable could be getting hung up on something under the car.

chk the shift cable make sure that it is ok,, also have you spilled any soda in the center console ?? if so the sugar could make the cable stick ,,and or hard to move
