Default Headlights keep blowing out.

I'm having headlight issues for a 1997 Accord Lx. I just got it back from the dealership and they replaced the ignition switch. I had asked them to look into a power surge that was affecting the radio and the lights. I had previously replaced all four lights in front which all blew within 2-3 days of replacing. I got the car back and hoped the problem was solved, so I replaced the bulbs again. 2 days later, all 4 were blown. Any thoughts and/or suggestions? I'm going crazy here and need to do this as cheap as possible. Please help.

Check for codes. Is the charge light blinking at any point?

Your altenator may be delivering too high voltage. Check voltage w/ Equus Battery Monitor. About $15 from Amazon, walmart, etc. It may be intermittent so monitor for a day or so.

Make sure your headlight connections are tight. Loose connection might also cause this problem, increasing amp demand and burning connector.

good luck

Another thought, this was common for certain year Saabs.

Adjusting the little rubber bumpers at the front of the hood - where it closes against the grille structure. If those are too high, then every time you close the hood it hammers the headlights. Long shot but easy to check out.
