This is my first post, for the last month, my heater has been shutting on and off, The climate control is working but the heater turns on whenever it wants. To me it seems everytime the car jerks or hits a bump the heater pops back on, can anyone give any insight on the problem. I took it to a professional and he says the fan and wires are working correctly.

What do you mean the climate control works but the heater doesn't? (I didn't think '92 had a auto climate control system.)

There's a blower (3-speed?)
There's a direction control to select where the air comes out.
And there's a temperature control.
