Default help found tear in intake hose!

I have 2000 honda accord 4dr lx. I bought the car in 218000 on the chasis and about 90k on a swapped motor. I've put about 300 miles on it so far and just noticed this tear in the intake hose where it connects to the engine. The car drive alright but fuel econ is not the greatest. Can I duct tape it in the mean time? Heelp please!

You might be able to find a piece of rubber with hose clamps and attach it somehow. Id be hesitant to use duct tape in case it somehow got sucked in. I think I would leave it until I was able to procure a new part in the next couple days. I'm surprised it does not idle rough.

i think he might be talking about the large hose to the throttle body...ya, you can "duct" it, but a new or used one will need to put on eventually.

Agreed, duct tape will work if done well, however, I'd just visit a bone yard and buy one from another car.
