Default Help with passenger window please.

I am gonna apologize now for the long thread but I could use some advice. I have an 01 honda accord 2dr ex. Four cylinder coupe.

I replaced the regulator on the passenger side window, and all was going well till I went to operate the window. For some unknown

reason the window motor will only go up not down. I had a service center try and diagnose the problem and they said it may be the

drivers side multiplex unit? The service place was able to jump power to the motor and make the window go up and down eliminating

the motor as the culprit.

I bought a used swith for the passenger side and a used master switch for the drivers side. The reason I

did this is because when I would engage the passenger side window with the switch, I could hear the motor going up, and when I

would try to roll it down from the driver side master switch, I could hear a click from passenger side switch as if it is registering.

Long story short I just replaced the passenger switch and immediatley heard a high pitched buzzing noise coming from the

passenger switch.(what the Hell?) I am not even gonna install the used master switch on the drivers side until I ask you guys on

here for help. My main concern is that in researching this predicament, I have heard about "resetting the multiplex unit" by turning

the windshild wipers to medum speed. Also I saw a brief question about following a honda service manual that instructs the

technician to put the door in service mode any time you remove the panel or work on the motor etc.

Could my problem be as simple as "placing the car in a service mode, or resetting the control unit? I am at my wits end the

last thing I am gonna try is getting a used multiplex unit. Any help or experience would be greattly appreciated. By the way I

checked all the fuses and they seem ok, I even disconnected the negative battery cable to try to reset things as well. I have been

searchig for a while and any thread I see tells me possible solutions, but no definitive solutiion to thier problem the person never

follows up with what worked!! grrrrr.

Anyway thanks in advance for your time.

That is one long block of text....

Does the window go up and down from the pass side switch, might be in your post but couldn't follow it.

Since you alread have the drivers side master, you are not out any money by replacing it.

Default Sorry reply not going to email

Poorman sorry took so long to get back, I thought a reply would be sent to my email but it was not. The window does not go down

from either switch, however it will go up form both. I am just wondering if there is some other way to reset the motor or something

for the passenger side window. My last resort is to change out the multiplex unit, but I wanted to see what you guys on here

thought. Additionally when I put the new junkyard passenger switch into the harness it made a loud buzzing noise kinda weird. When

I put the original switch into the harness it makes no such noise. I am at a loss. Also I have the whole door apart and I'm assuming it

does not have to be put back together for the window to work right? Do you guys think there is a safety switch or something on the

door that would prevent the window from going down? I am brainstorming here.

Thanks for the help so far poorman.

Again, long blocks of text.....I'm from the south and get kind of lost pretty quick.

I'm not an english teacher and can't spell for anything but please give me/us a break or two so I can try to follow what you are saying.

Again, I think you already have the drivers side switch. Replace it and lets see what you have from there.

buddy edit your posts and use the enter key after every sentance or two.

I have no desire to try and read what you wrote.

You try, go ahead and read what you wrote and see how hard it is to follow.

Breaking the text up like I am doing in this post makes it much easier to read.

Default How is that guys

Hey Sorry bout the block thing, I did not know what you were talking about.

Anyway, I have the door apart right now with the power window harness, and the side view mirror harness exposed. I put the used passenger switch in and the switch made a loud buzzing noise like it had too much current going through it or something,

when the original switch is connected it makes no noise, but the window will only go up not down. I guess when I get time I will try and replace the passenger, and drivers side master switch. Just unsure about the new switch making the noise.

Thats where I am at right now.

Thanks for your time.
