Hey just purchased a 97 accord se 2.2 automatic,

i should probably post this somewhere else , but i just got the car yesterday and it drove perfectly , and on my way home, the car rpm went to 3 rev without me barely hitting the gas, now when im in idle , and put the car on drive the car does not wanna go forward at all, sometimes up to 20 mph if im lucky, the reverse works fine, could it be a bad sensor, or the transmission, cuz i dont know if a tranny can fail so easily. help me if possible
