Honda !994 lx HELP!!!!!!

Ok. so im having this one problem i checked the OBDC and i got a tranny code. D4 flashes one long 4 short then repeats. not sure if its the same as the cel codes cause then it would be an air control valve. so i have read it might be the ecu or tcu. The problems my car has are once it is turned on nd reached around the 2nd gear or rpm the check light engine comes one, then the d4 starts to flash then when i come to a stop or changing gear, ex. drive to reverse, at a stop light. my car turns off. anythign will help thanks.!!!!!

If the check engine light did not flash any codes and stayed turned on, then it is likely a bad ecu

Ok, i'm going to be checkin on that this week, also how likely is it that it may be the fuel pump relay, as i read it can also be that. Well on the manual it says it has soemthing to do with a relay connected to the ECU

I took off the negative battery terminal, as well as reset the ecu. well i replaced the fuse, with a 30 (right one??) nd my car seems to be working fine. is it possible that it is the ECu then?? im guessin if it is a bad ecu the fuse will likely burn out? the old fuse didnt burn out it just wasnt connected. like the metal was not touching the plastic.

I don't know which fuse you replaced. Usually the cover for the fuse box has a diagram for the fuses and the amps.

If you go to the common DIY thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link for online shop manuals. The honda-tech link has a 94 shop manual that you can download. That will tell you the proper fuse to use on that circuit.

I replaced the "backup" fuse, which is to reset the ecm. im checkin the obdc code and my check light engine comes on. so it says its my ecm. but i found out there is also a tcu so how do i know which one it is giving me problems??

Fuse #39 in the attached pic is the backup/radio fuse and it is 7.5 amps.

If you keep getting code 14 and no ECU codes, then I would say that the ECU is the problem.

He said code 14 from the D4 lamp, not the CEL (right?). I don't have a trans-code list for 94...

Code 14 from the TCU on a OBDI Honda, according to what I have

14-Linear (line pressure control) solenoid open or shorted.

Yes, i replaced the right fuse. i know that Replacing the fuse wil just reset it. so i now dont have the d4 flash (until problem starts again) but im checking the OBDI and my CEL light stays on, so is it possible i have a bad ecu and the line pressure? and any idea on how much it would cost to replace the whole line pressure thing? and how do i know if its a bad ecm or bad tcu? or will that be a whole diff code??
