Honda Accord 1984 - help bucking and surging at lower speeds under 80km/h

Hi there! I need to stop my car jerking and bucking, it feels like the fuel is being delivered unevenly as it is much worse at accelerating than cruising(worse under 80km /h )Feels too scary to drive at the moment. Tried a carburettor cleaner spray but it did nothing. Just had the head re done so need some help as my mechanic just said he didn’t know what it was after sitting in his yard for a few months. Any advice appreciated, cheers Allison.

Based on your symptoms along with a cylinder head/head gasket replacement, the timing belt could be off by one tooth, or you have a vacuum leak/or vacuum hoses connected improperly.
If your vacuum hoses are original, each hose has a number painted on them. Your accord had a sticker under the hood (or maybe in the owner's manual) of the routing of the vacuum hoses. I'd recommend tracing each vacuum hose to ensure they are connected properly if you still have that information.
I'd also verify the timing belt is not off. That would require pulling the valve cover, getting the crankshaft to TDC then verify the camshafts are on their marks for timing.
