Ahhhh, just me but I'm not with the pump yet....
Switch the coils - pretty sure the '00 was Coil On Plug (COP), from the three cyls with codes to the three without....no order just trying to rule the coils out. |

I would also look at cleaning the throttle body and making sure the IACV was working properly.
My guess would be the IACV but I am no expert. |
x2 on the BP gas(a few posts up the page) I have major problems with BP gas in my accord. I only use top tier (mobil, exxon, shell ect....)
BP would make my car idle so rough when a load was on the engine (IE climate control) i though i had broken motor mounts it would vibrate so bad! |
Me too on thinking the fuel pump/ filter was bad but I think it may be a sensor or something instead. I could see a vapor lock issue though because the two last times mine has done the same thing I've driven a good bit, stopped somewhere for a few minutes and I can hear the radiator fans running when I start it and it chugged a little. Anyone got any clues?

I am having the same problem. 2000 Accord V6 struggles to start when hot. Need to rev the engine to get it going enough to put it in gear to drive. Only had codes once and they were general misfire codes on all cylinders. Starts just fine when cold. I have maintained the car by the book...195K miles and otherwise runs great. Had it to a dealer and an independent garage. Have replaced fuel pressure regulator, main relay, ECM, cleaned throttle body and injectors, CO2 sensor, fuel pump seems fine. I'm about to go crazy with this problem. Car is due to a timing belt package but can't see this could be the issue. I think it is a fuel related issue. Any updates on this that could help me out??

Pretty much the same symptoms I had on my 2000 v-6. Replaced main relay. Problem solved.
By the way, I should relate that the replacement relay failed in 10,000 miles and the symptoms re-appeared. Replaced it again and no problem since. |
