Hi Friends,

My 2001 accord has a BIG ding on the front bumper and I have been wanting to replace it for a few years now. I went to a couple of body shops and they gave me an estimate of $500 for an OEM bumper w/fitting+painting.

I am based in Fairfax, VA and can travel a few miles if I can get a non OEM version inalled and painted for a much cheaper price. Any suggestions on body shops around this area or where I can look this info up?

This may not be an option for you, but I have seen bumpers on Ebay that you can purchase pre-painted in your factory color. They will ship them straight to your door. Since it's Ebay it would be perfectly understandable to be skeptical... so if you search around on the net you may find a business that does the same thing. A coworker of mine had a little fender-bender in the minivan she used to have and she ordered a replacement front fender from a company she found on the internet. It came pre-painted and her husband just removed the old one and bolted on the new one. I think she wound up paying something like $250 including shipping... anyway, just a thought...
