Unhappy Honda Accord 2004 Ex NEW starter grinding sound

Hey there, I searched the forum but couldn't find anything that related to my issue. I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX 5 speed manual, 4 door. I just bought the car a month ago, the starter went out and i replaced it today. I bought a DURALAST starter from Autozone. I have never done this before and am a novice when it comes to mechanic work. Anyways after bolting in the new starter when i start the car I get this God awful grinding type sound? It's definitely coming from the starter. It spins up and grinds faster when rev the engine and its made the entire idle and sound of the car so much louder. What can be causing this? What are my next 3 steps to resolve this? Thank you all for your help. Also would anyone happen to have the full service manual for me to download?

I have included a youtube link of my issue:

Are you sure you put the starter in straight. Depending on which route you went to install it it may be in at an angle.

Also I see you have a check engine light on do you know what it is for. Did it come on before or after the install

Do not keep starting it. You may be chewing your fly wheel up. Figure out what it is.

Thanks for the reply, the check engine light is from an O2 sensor. Just to be sure I checked this morning also. I went ahead and pulled the starter out, I inspected it before I pulled it out (the best i could in that tight space) and it appeared to have a nice even seal. When un-threading the bolts they didn't appear to fight me or be pulled to one side or the other. As far as i can tell it was on straight. I guess my plan is to return it to autozone and ask if it was supposed to come with shims or maybe i should upgrade to the next model...not sure what to do at this point. I am including a few photos of the flywheel and starter. What would you do next?

Thanks!

You may have a bad starter. Take it back and go get another. I personally don't use that brand but you are in a bind. I buy from advance auto. I rebuild mine. They don't come with shims

After you get the new one make sure you take off the manifold. You will have a lot of space to do what you need.

When you take the air box and battery tray out you have a lot of room to get it from the top

Actually I forgot to list that: it's a 2004 Honda Accord Ex 2.4L 4 cylinder 4 door.

Ok. Since you have the 4cyl. Unbolt and move the manifold. You will have all the space you need to get it in.

Your starter confused me because I have an 07 accord 4cyl manual and I don't have the solenoid separate. Mine is all one piece. Usually you see your type of starter in a 6cyl. But you have the correct one
