We do not have the turbo diesel engines here in the U.S.
For your 2.2 turbo diesel, the EGR valve is shown in the attached pics. You would have to remove the plastic engine cover to see it.
The EGR valve for your diesel is a lot more expensive than the EGR valve for regular gasoline engine. From looking at the parts diagram, the base area is also different. I don't have much more info. for you, as I am not familiar with what makes the EGR valve for diesel so much more expensive and how it may be different.
