Honda Accord 94 fuel gauge not working
im a girl im new and i had this honda accord 94 for about 2 years and the problem is that the fuel gauge doesnt work it just moves to half a tank or down randomly my uncle keeps telling me it is the instrument panel so i went with a electric guy and i paid him to check it and he said it isnt that but on the fuel gauge theres some bubbles like it was burnt or something i really want to get this fixed but i dont know what to do oh and the empty fuel light sometimes comes on or off even if i just filled up my tank can someone please help me thanks
The fuel gauge problem may be due to the ground wire for the fuel gauge sending unit or the fuel gauge sending unit itself. The sending unit is attached to the fuel tank. See attached pics for the ground wire location and the fuel gauge sending unit.
The bubbles on the gauge itself sometimes happens, see a pic of an extra one I have with a slight bubble near a screw. The gauge itself may still operate; but, appear unsightly. If you want this gauge with the one bubble, PM your mailing address and I'll check what the shipping will cost me. If it is not too much, I'll send it to you free.

Aloha,
it’s would seem that your “floater” would be the problem. There may be as crack or two halves of your “floater” has separated letting fuel in giving weight this an inaccurate reading of fuel to your sending unit (located in your truck just behind your passenger side rear seat) thus your gas gauge. I hope this helps.
