horn and cruise control doesn't work.

I have a 1995 Honda Accord LX which I recently had the rack and pinion changed and now the horn and cruise control do not work and the SRS light stays on. I was hoping someone could tell me why that was. I heard it could be the clock spring/cable reel and if that is what it is does anyone know how to change it? Thanks for your help!!!

RE: horn and cruise control doesn't work.

It probably is the clock spring, the same thing happened to my mom's van. You should go back to the mechanic and have him adjust it or look at it, technically he should do it for free.

When the steering column is taken loose you MUST lock the steering wheel in the center; the clock spring/reel only turns 1 1/2 turns in either direction.
I agree the person that did the rack R&R should be responsible for the replacement of the reel.
