Cool How to...Improve car performance

Hellow HAF, i have a 1991 Accord Ex and i was wantign to step up the performance of it, like smooth running, increase horsepower, etc. What are some things that i can do and where do i start, please and thanks

Suspension. Intake. Exhaust. Lighter pistons and rods. Turbo. Google.

which would be the cheapest and quickest way to get better performance, like i know intake has a big part to do with it but i need details (new to the whole DIY on cars)

Cheapest for starters would be intake It all depends on how much you want to spend

I guess it really depends on what you buy. If I were to go back in time, I would have bought the AEM dual chamber intake with a bypass valve. Together it would cost me about $360. Instead I bought an AEM SRI which only cost me $110. If you wanted to buy a full topbrand catback it could cost you anywhere from $400-$500 and up. Or get a good muffler (Running from $50-$200 on average) and pay a shop $80 to run the piping for you. See how the prices can vary? Idk the prices that a shop in your area would charge you to run the piping, but $80 is average for most any and every shop in my area.
