I'm having a tough time trying to remove the EGR valve on my daughter's 1991 Accord station wagon because if clearance, I can't get to the 12MM nuts with anything but and open end wrench (and a socket with no ratchet), I was thinking a socket with a flex, problem is they're (the nuts) on so tight the open end will round off the nuts and the flex may snap. Any suggestions?

 

I used a 4 inch extension for my socket wrench and just grabbed onto the nut in whatever way I could. I would not recommend this way as I have partially strippted the nut while doing this. They do make sockets which flex like this, maybe this would work.
