My '06 Hybrid has developed a problem. It intermittently does not recharge when on the brakes. When it is doing this it also does not shut off the engine at a stop. I think there is a switch connected to the brake pedal controlling these functions that may have contact problems, or that there is a brake signal going to a computer that is malfunctioning. The brake lights come on. Before I take it to the dealer (in another town), has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?

 

I don't know the hybrid system at all, sorry. Since your car is under warrantee, I'd just bring it in if I werre you.
