My car gets dirty fast, is it because it is a Black color?

also what are the cheapest ways to get rid of minor scratches?
In a word, yes. My m3 shows dirt a lot quicker than my white accord.

Usually they can be buffed out with a good wax. How bad?
not that bad...first time having a black car

My car is black also. Dust and rain spots have always been an issue. My main complaint about a black car is the heat build-up during the summer. Yikes![:-] I can leave the car in the sun for 5 minutes, and it's too hot to get into when I come back. Of course, the 1996 black coupe's were outfitted with a gray interior vs. beige. Adds to the heat, but much easier to keep clean.

I started using an aluminum covered sun-blocker in the windshield this year. I would highly recommend - definitely keeps the car interior almost tolerable, i.e. only need a short wait with the doors open to get in.

Will probably try a white car next.

my interior is black. The color has no issue with heat as long as your A/C is working good. my windows are also tinted. Summer is very hot and humid in Houston, Texas and my car cools instantly.
