Default I smell something burning in my engine.

For about a month or so, I always smell something is burning in my engine, but i don't know what it is. I smell it during my drive and after.

It's a Honda accord EX 1993

I change my oil myself with really good oil and it always has good amount of coolant.
My previous owner did not drive the car for about a year but he took it to the repair shop to fix everything before selling it to me.

Help me please.

it's a long shot but one possibility is something plastic might have got under the hood and fell on the exhaust manifold cover or somewherethat becomes hot.i was changing a fuse once and carelessly dropped the plasticsachet the fuse came in and it got melted on the exhaust manifold cover and smelled real bad for a long time. i triedto scrape it off when the enginewas hot but a little bit was left over and it burned there for a real long time until all of ithad vaporised off.

I fell sorry for u not knowing whether your car is a manual or auto. or was that a joke.how many pedals doyou have?

what do you mean a manumatic or trip tronic kind of tranny. but those are still auto's with controls to tell the computer to shift. but not on '93 accord.

if you're not sure what transmission you have, i'd be willing to be you have an automatic.
