Incomplete Catalyst

Incomplete Catalyst
So there may not be anything wrong but Im wondering about this-
A while ago I swapped out my OEM cat converter for a magnaflow direct fit. I reset the ECU afterwards too. Ive been monitoring my car and the catalyst has stayed at incomplete.
I have to get my car inspected in a month and Ive had the cat converter a few weeks now, plenty of time for it to go through the drive cycle. All the other readiness codes are complete and there are no pending/existing CELs.
I know if the catalyst doesnt read right the car will go through another cycle before setting a code but Im just wondering why the readiness code hasnt completed yet.
Ive read through JimBlakes readiness codes thread and know my cars been through all the conditions.

My post about the readyness codes was for 2003-2006. The details are different for yours, but the general idea is still there. I just didn't own a shop manual for 94-97 so I didn't have the actual details.
I would have expected it to be OK, but not sure how to help. A true fault condition should have set off the CEL by now, wouldn't you think?

Shop manuals don't disclose details of readiness tests in most cases. I have observed that catalytic converter efficiency check can take quite some time to complete.
The 2003-2007 manual has following procedure for testing for P0420.
1) Warm until temp > 158F
2) Drive w/ AT in D vehicle speed between 50-55 mph w/ cruise control set
3) Drive about 2 mins, decelerate for at least 4 seds w/ throttle completely closed, then maintain 55mph for at least 20 mins w/ cruise control set
Check for readiness code status. If incomplete repeat 1-3 until code sets or system passes.
good luck

Its just fishy cuz ive been driving this around regularly under a number of circumstances for a month now. Ill try the procedure and see. The fact that I havent seen a complete catalyst is making me paranoid. I have til the end of may though.
