Default intermittent driver side headlight

96 according 2.2 non vtech. I have noticed that my driver side headlight doesn't work when outside temp falls below 40 or so, so when I leave work I have to hit the housing for the light to work. I could replace the bulb but curious if anyone else may have had this issue and is it more then a bulb being the culprit. Had to stop twice tonight to tap the housing to get it back on and to keep sherrif from ticketing me. I did check the wires and connectors seems fine no corrosion or anything I'm at a loss. Thanks for any ideas.

Inspect the wiring to the headlight connector to see if there are signs of wear from vibrations that damaged the harness/wires. My 95 accord had the wire spliced by the previous owner and had caused issues, so carefully inspect the wiring.

My 95 accord also had an issue with the ground for the headlight. It is a metal triangle shape metal piece and had several black wires running to it. It is below the driver's headlamp and bolted under the metal bumper frame. I removed the bolt and cleaned the corrosion with some sandpaper. You should be able to access from under the vehicle, IIRC.
