Default jerry rig ps pump...

So my power steering pump has a small leak somewhere in a seal on the underside... I don't wanna buy a junkyard pump and take a chance.. and can't buy a new one right now...

So I was thinking about getting some clear epoxy from advanced auto, and getting a nice bead in all the crevices where seals are / where bolted together as a cheap fix for now to hopefully stop air from getting in system.. I gotta get inspection and dont want them to be **** about my 22 year old accord..

Thoughts, better ideas?? Thx

Not sure where you leak is at. There should be a seal where the line attaches to the power steering pump that you may want to replace. Replacing a seal would be a cheap attempt to fix.

I am not sure how much pressure a bead of silicone can handle.

I'm unsure as well.. I.don't wanna spend the time to take it off, and apart... I'm being lazy about it.. eventually it will be a brand new one.. 60 bucks on ebay.. the epoxy is hard and dries like rock hard, much much harder than silicone... I can't find a leaky hose anywhere so I'm assuming the ps pump, it is a littke dirty on the bottom side... 5$ jerry rig fix lol

However, I think its only two bolts to remove the ps lines off the pump, so maybe some o rings would be a better first attempt to stop air an leak.. thanks, just gotta find the p/n for the seals now...

go to hondapartsnow.com for the oem part number. That site sells parts for a discount, but shipping can be expensive. The dealer may end up being cheaper.
