key stuck in ignoition
 

ok so i just bought a used honda accord and im having trouble with the key it gets stuck in the ignition wen i turn off the car i took it to the dealership 4 times they made a new key and said they change the cylinder in the ignition and im still having the same results it gets stuck in the ignition does anyone know wat i can do or any tricks to taking it out

If it's an automatic, try pushing the shift lever into Park a little more next time the key gets stuck and try to remove the key to see if that makes a difference.

has anyone else ever had a problem with getting the key out of the ignition when trying to get out the car?????? i took it back to the dealer ship & they've replaced the ignition & a new key and its still doing it :confused:

yes it is automatic, ok i am going to try that. thats funny because i called the previous owner just a bit ago and he told me something similar to that. thank you (:

You can also try pushing in on the key as you turn it to the off position.

Auto trans? If the car doesn't "think" it is in park then the key will not "turn off", allowing it to come out of the cyl.
