If the Keyless/Security Control Unit is missing under the front passenger seat, then ordering a keyfob will not control the keyless entry.

I have to take care of somethings right now. I will get back with more info. I have later. Although your car was manufactured in the U.S., there appears to be differences in U.S. and Canadian models.

U.S. Special Edition model came with the Keyless/Security Control Unit under the passenger front seat. See various attached pics. for U.S. S.E. model.

I will include some info. that may be applicable for the Canada Special Edition model in a separate post with different pics., so things are less confusing. (You may still have keyless entry with the Canada model.) - Wait for it in the next post...

While you may or may not have the security system, you may possibly have the keyless door lock control unit. Look under the driver's seat to see if you have it (see attached pic.). If you do, then getting the remote and programming it probably will work.

These are the programming instructions:

Edit: Check for one under the driver's seat.

The one in the driver's door will not control it remotely unless there is an accessory security system able to drive it. That unit is standard on all models, except U.S. Special Edition model.
