Hello all, my wife just bought a 1994 Accord LX in excellent condiion with 141,000 miles for $2300. The interior is mint, everything works, and it rides great.

Did they make a keyless remote for this vehicle? If so, how would I go about buying one and getting it to work?

I have a 94 EX and it didn't come with a keyless remote....You can buy an aftermarket keyless entry system and install it if you want but I don't believe any of them came standard

 

I bought my accord without keyless entry either. If you already have power locks it wont cost much to get an aftermarket alarm with keyless entry. Thats what I did.

 

since the cars do not have an alarm, I would definately consider getting one. It should not cost you anymore in labor and only a few hundred for the alarm.

 

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it has power locks. I was thinking of getting a remote start with door lock control. Are these '94 Accords still "high-theft" vehicles? I guess I'll check out Circuit City and see how much a system would cost installed. Unless somebody knows of a better place?

I have an aftermarket keyless entry into my 95 EX and it works great! Highly recomend getting one but it is worth the extra cash for the alarm part of it too. Our year accord is prime for theft, poach the airbags and ditch/burn/scrap/take to mexico with the rest.
