hey all, I locked my keys in my '79 accord

Does anyone know a way to jimmy the lock or something?

 

you can probably get a cheap key cut at the dealer for less than $7. just make sure you bring your photo ID and something with you name and the VIN number on it(insurance car/statement. if it's in the car go online and print it out).

 

call a tow truck, they carry jimmy slim jims to open those doors up...

i called a locksmith for my 03 accord, and all he did was stick a big plastic wedge in my door, literally prying it back; after which he used a hangar to wrap around the **** of the lock and pull it up... i was pissed i spent 60 bucks on something that took him literally 40 seconds to complete.. lucky f*&# makes good money breaking into cars!

oh, the wedge was a pretty hard plastic, but was soft enough to not scratch anything like paint.. also, there was no damage done by him prying the door back slightly (which i was actually really concerned about when he was doing it).. when it was all said and done, you couldn't even tell i was locked out!

 

You can usually buy slim jim's at aoto parts stores. Or use a coat hanger as drummer suggested

 

thats what AAA did the time i locked my keys in my 94. I had the same concerns, and I dont think window totally sprung back into place, but it was 10 years old when i did this, and i didnt care all that much.
