Default Maintenance

Hey guys,

So I am sure this post is very basic, but this is my first real car purchase and wanted some peace of mind regarding the maintenance of this vehical. I just bought a 09 accord cpe v6 fully loaded without nav 13k miles. I have read the owners manual and it basically says (to my understanding), change oil at 15%, air filter every 15k miles, brakes when indicated via light on dash, tires based on tread. just lookng for confirmation on these issues and see if they all hold true. I am used to older cars where lights do not signal maintenance haha.

I would check the oil level periodically on the dip stick, because the oil life indicator can't detect low oil. The oil pressure switch does that.

The tires should be rotated at the proper interval and replaced when the tread is low, cupped (uneven wear), or making a noise/vibration due to broken belt.

I wasn't aware that the newer accord have a light to indicate brake pad wear. I replace mine when they start making that screeching sound. Double check that in your owner's manual.

Also keep up with the trans fluid. If an auto then it is even more important, but even the manual trans needs attention.
