Default Maintenance After Hours of Idling

I have 26500 miles and have been idling for two hours a day everyday, sometimes more sometimes less. I know excessive idling is bad, but how much is excessive? I've used mobil 1 full synthetic until my last change, I'm not sure on the name but its shell brand full synthetic. What type of maintenance should I do because of my excessive idling? Any advise or info on idling would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance![sm=americanasmiley.gif]

Why idle that long? You are better off shutting it off, even if it's for a minute or two. Save ya gas and maintenance.

Change oil more often. Those hours aren't getting counted as miles on your odometer, so just figure each hour is maybe worth 30 or 40miles & take that into consideration to schedule your next oil change.

Well I don't want to say what I'm doing as Angelo would deem it inappropriate. I can't have my windows down for scent reasons. I live in Miami and even in the winter you need the A/C with the windows up. I usually idle for 30mins to 45mins at a time, couple times a day. I've been changing my oil when it gets to 15% or past 4000. Which brings me to another question. The first two times I put synthetic in the maintenance minder system went down to like -200% or something before I hit 4000 miles. Now it goes right with my synthetic 5k mileage. Is there a way to reset it for synthetic or am I just crazy?

It is programmed for regular oil, there is no way to change that.

Lol...I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what you are talking about haha. Does it stink in Miami or something?
Oh wait....I think I just figured it out. You need to keep the scent inside the car right[sm=smiley20.gif]

LoL[sm=bustedsign.gif]. Yea the scent must stay inside. I still live with my parents and its my moms rule if I want to do that with people. I can only do it at home alone, so when I'm with my friends I just park in my neighborhood pop in a family guy DVD and relaxx. Sorry for being so vague, and please don't think I'm weird if you don't get what I'm doing. So really I almost have no other choice but to sit in my car sometimes, and it really is a nice place to just chill lol[sm=innoc.gif]

Lol...

Anyway, idling will count towards your timing belt change time.... because it is being stressed even if you are just idling. Keep a note of it

Can't you finds a friends place or a nice park to chill while keeping the scent down? For the sake of your car and for your own sake of not getting caught in a motor vehicle. I'm not sure on the laws down there...
