Default Major Tranny problems

hey guys
My accord for about a year and a half has been having major tranny problems. First off every morning i have to warm up my car, if its not warmed up my car skips. Traction control light goes on, and the D4 flashes, when this happenes the car skips, i have to pull over kill the engine and restart the car, and usually it goes away. I have flushed the tranny and still i have the problem. I have dynod the car, and a error comes, theres a problem with the fourth gear. Seems like i need a new tranny, has any one changed there tranny? How much am i looking at? also i was thinking about converting to stick shift (might as well i'm getting a new tranny) How much will that dent my pocket? any one have experiance in that feild?

P.S. when i put in supreme gas, the problem doesnt happen as much with reg. gas

Anyone have any other suggestions for his problem? In particular the Manual switch?
I'm also interested in converting my '03 auto to a manual.

There is an extended transmission warranty. 7 years or 100,000 miles.
Take it to the dealer. They will rebuild/replace it for free if you are within the warranty period.

Converting it to manual will cost you upwards of $5k. Do a search. It has been covered. I linked it somewhere. You swap a 6 speed trans from an Acura CL or TL.

check this out

www.hondatransmissionsettlement.com

your car is/was part of a class action lawsuit that was won. You should still be covered under that, I believe the warranty on the transmission is 109,000 miles. If they still feel like messing with you call honda of america let them know what's going on.

Report them to Honda of America immediately. Take your car to another dealer. The warranty should be honored.
