Default moon roof problem

My 94s moon roof has issues. Sometimes it gets stuck open when I open it all the way, other times it will close fine.
Sometimes when its closed and I turn the coupe off it opens, then sometimes it will flip itself open.
Is this a bad motor or what else can it be, switch?

Anyone?

The components of the sunroof are the switch, motor, a relay to open, and another relay to close the sunroof. There is also the wiring.

The switch is the easiest to test.

Remove and unplug switch. On the wire harness, you can ground one of the wires to open the sunroof, and grounding another one will close the sunroof (you are pretty much bypassing the switch).

If you find that grounding the proper wire works when the switch isn't working, then replace the switch.

If not, then I would move on to the relays.

Download the shop manual for the 94 accord from the online manuals thread in the DIY section will give you the proper wire colors and wiring diagrams.

How is the switch removed? Do I have to take off the headliner?

The switch is on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

There is a tab under the switch, so you can pry it out.

On my 94 coupe it is on the headliner. What side are the tabs on?
