So as I was replacing my PCV valve, it broke off in the valve cover so I try to get the rest out, the bottom piece of it falls off into the valve cover. There is a plate on the inside of the valve cover that is riveted to the inside. I can not get it out but it is not in any danger of falling into the engine. Question is, should i get a new valve cover or can i just leave it in there? Next problem. While putting my valve cover back on, two of the bolts broke off at the threads and one of them stripped out the threads in the Head. Is it safe to tap out the stripped hole or do i need to get a new head now?

 

You can tap and refit with the correct 2 bolts..but make sure befor you do that you get that other piece out if you can..
