Default Motor swap or rebuild?

Car currently has an f22b2 in it. Looking to build with all performance parts. Should I just take the block I have and build off that or recommend going with something else..?

I personally would stick with that and boost it. Make more power than an h series.

Should I take EVERYTHING off down to the block or are there some parts I could be ok to leave..? I'm wanting to use good mid grade parts. Not top of the line bc I don't have the money for that but not the cheapest thing I can find either.

Really depends on what your goals and budget is. Stock F22s are good for about 250whp. Automatic is going to be the real limiting factor.

I'm gonna do a 5spd conversion on it eventually. I get off at ten tonight and I'm going home and I'm gonna pull off all the wires and hoses and get it down to just the motor and pull it out then go from there. I got a buddy that said the trans should just pull out with the motor? And not really a budget car. Just want to enjoy it and have something I can say I did and be proud of. I don't want to put thousands of than sands of dollars into it but I'm willing to spend money on it.

Thats dedication doing all that at night. Trans will come out with the engine as long as you disconnect the axles and shift linkage. Axles pop out with a big pry bar or screw driver.

So after I get all my miscellaneous stuff off the motor and the axles and shift linkage off the trans I should be able to just hook up a cherry picker, undo the motor mounts, and it should all just come right out?

Yes sir. A leveler definitely helps as you have to take it out at an angle(engine first).
