Moving transmission from 'parts' car ?
I have some 'bad luck' with transmissions and it looks like this will be my fourth - hopefully will work out well this time. That rear output shaft thing seems to not be the best - also broke a motor mount which may have contributed to one wearing out.
I'm considering buying a parts car and having the transmission and clutch moved from that into my accord, which is otherwise pretty nice. Any downside to this, other than having no warranty? It seems like you take your chances with used parts anyway. If I do this, I am wondering if I can then give the rest of the car away to a junkyard for free. has anyone ever done this?

Thanks,
Geo

4 transmissions?? Are you sure that the correct oil is being put into them?
A scrap car is worth around $45 here at the metal recycler.
Be sure to grab out useful replacement parts, headlight motors, window motors, lenses, etc.
