In the common DIY thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link on checking engine codes.

If you have a volt meter, check that the blk/yel wire going to the coil and distributor have 12V when the key is in the II position.

Inspect the distributor cap and distributor rotor.

You just want to check for 12V from the blk/yel wire to ground (like a valve cover bolt). It sounds like you have voltage with the test light, but the volt meter will be more accurate.

How did you test for spark?

The fuel pump not turning on is strange with no spark. It almost sounds like two different problems.

I would check G101 on your car. It is under or bolted to the thermostat housing. See pics to disconnect the grounds, clean them up, then see what happens. The second pic is mislabeled as the upper hose.

Make our lives a bit easier and type out the words.

What did you run power to? You said pump do you mean the starter?

In the trunk of the car, there is an access panel near the back seat. There should be a three wire connector that you can easily see. Check that the yellow wire (or yellow black) is getting 12V for about two seconds when you turn the key to the II position. It may be easier to use a test light.
