Default my '90 won't start after engine wash?

I degreased and sprayed down the entire engine bay to replace the leaking cover gasket and now it won't start. I don't see any spark at the plug when removed and grounded to the engine. I do smell fuel on the plug. What has caused this? Is it just a mater of letting it dry out, its been about 15 hours?

Assuming that your car has a distributor remove the cap and wipe the inside out with a dry cloth. Once done spray the inside of the cap with WD-40 because it displaces moisture. Wipe it out again, reinstall and try it. Let us know....

omg heres another one... so he'd buy a distributor for more than 200 bucks and if it's not the distributor??? [sm=badidea.gif][sm=chairshot.gif][sm=noooo.gif]

Do not buy a distributor unless you find the old one faulty. And theres a way to test it.

If you follow RTex's lead with the cleaning out the wettness from the cap and rotor you should be alright assuming it got wet when you cleaned it up..
That's a common occurence when the engine area gets cleaned...

Since this happened over 7 months ago- I would hope he/she has it repaired by now?
