My accord has a serious problem and Im not sure what to do!!!
I made the mistake of buying $25 spark plug wires from Autozone, and they were loose on the plugs. This caused terrible misfires as the engine warmed up. Didn't you say the wires were loose? They should not be loose on the plugs. It should take a good pull to remove them. I don't know about the 94 Accord, but on the 92 the plug for the codes was blue, two wire, and not plugged into anything. You bend the paperclip to form a U, then push each end into the plug, effectively connecting the wires. Turn the key on, and the Check engine light should flash the codes.
the wires were loose at the distributor cap but when I took them off and put them back on they arent loose anymore and it didnt make a difference after i did that the wires arent loose at the plugs, but thanks for telling me about the paper clip I will see what code it gives me and the last time I checked under the car when it first started doing this the cat wasn't glowing red the exhaust was just shaking from the cat to the back of the car but I will check it out again just to make sure.

Ok I went out and pulled the code and I got 6 and the link that was sent to me for getting the cel code says this: 6 ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor, so what do I do from there and would this make my car run like crap? I havent looked at the cat to see if it glows yet but I will do that today and let u know.
Bad ECT sensor can make it run rich (thinks it cold). I would guess not rich enough to burn up the cat, but ???
ECT sensor is on the side of the head, kinda below the distributor. Wire plug has 2 wires. (the other sensor with 1 wire is for the dashboard temperature gauge)

There may have been too much ethanol in the gas. We've had that problem around here where some stations were given gas with the ethanol content too high and it cause problems exactly as you are describing. Go back to the station and ask if they have had any complaints, then take your car to the dealer or reputable mechanic and get it checked out. If it is bad gas the gas station will be libel for any repairs.
