My car heats up my legs from inside [Accord 2003]
Hello everyone,
Please i need help, in my car the driver seat precisely, you know the place where you keep your legs , the same place that has gas and brake.
Under that place keeps getting hot.
Very hot when i drive for about 30-45 mins and the engine must have been hot.
I have taken my car to several mechanics and they claim when it was when i changed the steering rack that a hole or something created a leak that heats it up from the engine heat.
Am not sure of this because after all the trials no one has been able to fix this.
Am i so worried, it is a nightmare whenever i remember i have to drive.
My signature has details of the car.

however that is not what i implied. The heat is not coming from the air-conditione/HEATER vent. It is coming from the engine where my legs are when i drive.
Somewhere under there, i cant tell where exactly. Even when the air conditioner is on , you will still feel the heat a bit.

If you have a hole in the firewall, noise level would be increased. Inspection is only option to locate an un-plugged hole.
The steering column has a lower shroud and split cover that encapsulate the steering shaft. If these items were removed and not replaced, it might cause the problem you're having. Even leaving the split cover off might cause this problem. It has a split seam to allow installation around the steering shaft.
good luck

Thanks a lot.
Am not sure this is somehow linked to that side of the car i explained earlier.
The gas/break under the dashboard infront of the driver is where hits up.
I feel engine hot air is somehow getting in there.
