Put your year/model in your signature so we know what car you are driving.

The latch could be messed up or the rods on the latch could have been detached.

You will have to partially pull the door panel off to reach in there and feel if anything came apart.

You can drill a hole in the pillar, and use a metal rod to manually release the door. Then replace the door latch.

i managed to get the panel off completely all the rods are fine so when i drill that hole i just have to try and push a steel peg that will pop it open?

That is my impression. I have never had to do this. Watch the video on that link to see where they drilled and how they did it.

I would suggest putting the push rod right on that L shaped peg.

Try a medium/sharp hit on the push rod end with a hammer to get it to unlatch.

i did exactly that and the peg just went too far pretty sure i have to drill the striker i mean for a while my door would stick unless i pulled on it hard while opening it so i figure its just demolished somewhere
