hello i am rather new here. i just picked up a 89 accord lx from a friend (5 speed) for 250 bucks that has roughly 300000 miles on it. the engine was replaced with new at 175000 and some maintance has been done since then. what can i expect as far as problems from this car?

make sure timing belt was done less than 75, 000 miles............If the A/c compressor is a keihin brand, it will take a dump soon or later ,, if it is ND brand , you are in luck, lx is carburated it will eventually get dirty and need to be overhauled sooner or later ,,..

other than that, it all depends how well it has been maintained ....
